Here We Go Again! Trio of business owners open antique shop in Abilene
A new antique store has popped up in Abilene with a trio of thrifting professionals at its head.
Here We Go Again, 2510 South 7th Street, is a co-owned space between business owners Linnie Ray, Chase Nicholson and Susan Wray.
The story behind the joint business venture began when the friends opted to re-attempt their dream.
After retiring from the industry, Ray found herself drawn back to antiques as a side hobby. She joked that all her friends knew she would not be able to stay away from the game for long.
She wanted more freedom in pursuing her business outside of a vendor booth space, so she reached out to Nicholson and Wray, who wanted to expand their businesses in a similar way, Ray said.
They ultimately agreed to the joint business location. The space gave each seller a chance to display their antique finds, and by opening their own storefront allowed for flexibility with work hours and a more cost-efficient work environment.
With a total of 40 years of combined experience in antiques, each owner works to find and offer items within their specialty of interest.
They all do something different and there is something here for everyone, Ray said as she gestured throughout the shop.
With a wide variety of glassware, vintage furniture, jewelry, clothing and other unique finds, it is easy to get lost in the shop.
Here We Go Again, 2510 South 7th Street, is open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday. Check out their Facebook page for contact information and daily insights to what's in store.
