Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts earns Hall of Fame honors

SAN DIEGO (KUSI)– In the midst of the COVID lockdown, Amanda Piepgras saw a lack of resources especially in Martial Arts for those who needed a bit of extra assistance.

She then decided to step in and form Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts, teaching basic movements to those with special needs and disabilities.

Her work in the community has earned her the honor of being inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame–an accomplishment that you have to be nominated for while being a black belt and making an impact in the community.

“I am really glad I went for it,” Amanda said. “I am seeing so many kids make so much progress, and it’s beautiful.”
