Austin driver crashes into Early boutique store, claims innocence

EARLY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Early police and fire departments responded to a crash into a local building early Friday morning.

In a Facebook post, Early PD said it was around 4:45 a.m. when a vehicle ran into a boutique shop in the 900 block of Early Boulevard.

Upon authority’s arrival, crews noted gas leaking and electrical boxes that had been knocked down.

The driver was unharmed in this crash and allegedly told police he had been run off the road.

EPD also released video footage showing the driver speeding down Early BLVD, coming from 183 South. From which point, the driver of a pickup crossed the intersection and ran into the building. That footage is attached to the top of this article.

Early PD has not identified the driver by name. It was released that he is from Austin and was arrested for Reckless Driving.

No further information has been released.
