Some roads in Austin will be temporarily closed Wednesday evening to accommodate Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run, which is expected to kick off at 8 p.m.

The race is expected to begin at Auditorium Shores, 900 W. Riverside Drive. Runners will then make their way left over the South 1st Street bridge before taking another left down West Cesar Chavez Street. They will then make a loop around the MoPac Expressway and return down the way they came before finishing back at Auditorium Shores.

This year marks the 21st running of the 5K, which will be followed by a Finish Line Party.

Road closures are expected to go into effect at 6 p.m., according to The Trail Conservancy, the beneficiary of the race's funds. Those participating in the race should anticipate heavy traffic near the race's path.
