Baton Rouge police: Man shot during 2021 attempted armed robbery dies

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a man died from complications from his shooting injuries on Monday, June 17.

Police said Warren West, 35, was shot during an attempted armed robbery on Feb. 7, 2021.

The investigation remains ongoing.

BRPD is also investigating a shooting that injured a man on Sunday, June 16. It happened a little before 5:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of Levera Street.

Detectives are looking for the suspect and motive in connection with that shooting.
