UPDATE: I-15 reopens after body found on Las Vegas freeway
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a body found on I-15 southbound early Tuesday morning.
The discovery of the body around 1 a.m. disrupted freeway traffic on I-15 southbound when two lanes were closed between Sahara Avenue and Spring Mountain Road. The lanes reopened around 6 a.m.
Someone spotted a hand near the road, which led Metro police officers to the rest of the body, sources told the 8 News Now Investigators. The person’s death did not immediately appear suspicious.
Nevada State Police assisted with diverting traffic during the closure.
