Boone Lake Association to host cleanup

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The annual Boone Lake cleanup is this weekend.

The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Boone Lake Association, a local non-profit.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the cleanup and there’s a call for volunteers.

The cleanup is on Saturday, April 20 and for every bag of trash turned in, volunteers will receive a door prize ticket.

Bags will be distributed at 9 a.m. from five sites. The sites listed include Boone Lake Marina, Davis Bost Dock, Pickens Bridge Ramp, Winged Deer Park 11E ramp and Lakeview Marina.
