Bridgeton Powerball player wins $50,000 prize

BRIDGETON, Mo. – A Missouri Lottery player in Bridgeton, Missouri, won a $50,000 prize in Powerball’s “Double Play” drawing on Saturday, June 8.

The winning ticket was purchased at Quiktrip, located at 11444 St. Charles Rock Road.

His numbers did not win the main Powerball drawing, but he made the decision to add the “Double Play” feature to his ticket, which allowed him to play his same numbers again in a second drawing.

His ticket matched four of five white-ball numbers and the Powerball in the “Double Play” drawing, which resulted in his $50,000 prize.

The Powerball jackpot on Saturday, June 8, was estimated at $72 million.
