Buffalo woman accused of fatally shooting victim arrested in Rochester

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo woman accused of fatally shooting a victim earlier this month on the city’s East Side was arrested Friday in Rochester, the Buffalo Police Department announced.

Shana Rowe, 39, allegedly shot Shawneequa Pearson, 43, during an altercation on June 12 near the 100 block of Liddell Street, according to police. Pearson was found suffering from a gunshot wound and unresponsive when police arrived at the scene, and was later declared deceased at ECMC.

Police said Rowe was located in Rochester following an investigation and was apprehended by law enforcement.

Rowe was charged with one count of second-degree murder.
