Chesapeake Fire Department responds to shed fire on Sunray Ave.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The Chesapeake Fire Department responded to a garage fire Friday morning.

According to officials, crews were dispatched to the 4700 block of Sunray Avenue for reports of a fire. Multiple calls were received from citizens who witnessed the large plume of smoke around 10:30am. The Chesapeake Fire Department arrived on scene at 10:34 a.m. and reported a detached garage heavily involved in fire. The structure was confirmed to be unoccupied.
