Conway cucumber-themed restaurant closing this month. Here’s what’s opening in its place

A Conway restaurant will soon serve cucumbers no longer.

Pickled Cucumber announced via Facebook that it was ceasing operations, with the last day in operation being June 28, 2024. The post thanked customers for their support and cited family and health as reasons for closing.

It added that Pickled Cucumber would continue offering catering services, and the restaurant was open to others franchising Pickled Cucumber in the future.

“We have gone through some best and worst times with you,” the post said. “We know you have noticed our work and passion. And we thank you for that.”

In an interview with The Sun News, Nadya Batson with Pickled Cucumber said the restaurant was a special place for her and her family.

“It provided us with so many not only memories but social support (and) financial support,” Batson said. “This beautiful town was here for us every single time when we felt that we didn’t have anybody around.”

The Pickled Cucumber isn’t the first Conway eatery to announce its closure in recent weeks. The Local Market & Deli in Conway also announced its closure June 12, 2024.

While Pickled Cucumber is ceasing operations, its location at 1129 A 3rd Avenue in Conway won’t stay empty for long. The eatery’s post said that a new pizzeria and Italian market, Anto’s Pizza Romana & Italian Market, would take its place.
