Coronation Street actor Sally Dynevor got a surprise as news of her co-star’s exit from the hit soap broke.
The soap star was live on Wednesday’s (June 5) episode of Loose Women when ITV announced Gail Rodwell actress Helen Worth would be leaving Corrie after 50 years.
Clearly taken aback by the timing of the announcement, Dynevor confessed she knew of Worth’s plans to exit the soap but didn’t realise the news would be announced publicly so soon.

Loose Women host Christine Lampard informed viewers of the breaking news and swiftly turned to Dynevor for her reaction.
"She’s an absolute, proper Corrie legend," Lampard said.
"She is!" Dynevor agreed. "Helen rang me yesterday to tell me but I didn’t think this was going to break until Friday."
"They’ve waited until you’re on here," Lampard joked. "Sorry, Sally!"

Dynevor went on to praise her Coronation Street co-star, saying: "We’re going to miss her so much because she’s amazing.
"Helen was there before I started and she was a guiding light to me. She’s a wonderful actress and I lover her so I’ll miss her."
Worth is due to step down from her iconic soap role later this year, shortly after celebrating her golden anniversary on the show.
She’s set to begin filming her exit storyline next month, which soap bosses have confirmed will involve a major storyline for the Platt family.

"This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world," Worth said, in a statement.
"I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding.
"I have been truly blessed to have been given the most incredible scripts week in week out and to have worked with fantastic actors, directors and a brilliant crew," she added.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
