Cumberland County man charged with raping mentally disabled person

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Cumberland County man is facing charges for allegedly raping a mentally disabled person.

Middlesex Township Police say after a multi-month investigation they obtained an arrest warrant for Waren Mena of Carlisle. Police say Mena has been charged with allegedly raping a mentally disabled person and indecent sexual assault for a person with mental disability.

Mena is also facing charges for financial exploitation of a care-dependent person, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

With assistance from Carlisle Police, Mena was taken into custody on June 20 and taken to the Cumberland County Prison.

Mena is being held on $75,000 bail and is being held in the county prison. He’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 3.
