Davis students to attend national conference in Chicago

HILLSDALE — Seventeen students from Davis Middle School have qualified for the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Chicago on May 10-14.

The school said 24 students in total traveled to Davenport University in Grand Rapids on Feb. 16 to compete at the state level with 17 qualifying for nationals.

The national conference will bring together 6,000 delegates from across the country to vie for top honors in business and information technology skills competitions, attend leadership and development workshops, and receive awards for community service activities.

"This conference is a culmination of a year's hard work and dedication to our program, and we are excited to celebrate our students' successes," said Laura Wilson, Davis' BPA advisor. "Through BPA, our students have strengthened their leadership, business and technical skills."
