DENVER (KDVR) — Despite the early week snow squall, the weekend in Denver is shaping up to be warm and sunny in the 60s.

Whether you’re looking for a date night option with a set menu or you’re ready to have a Sunday Funday with a polar plunge or Nicki Minaj concert, Denver has you covered.

Things to do:

Denver Restaurant Week (All weekend)

For the 20th anniversary, over 200 restaurants around the Denver metro are taking on a 10-day event with specialized menus starting on March 1. The menus come with a few courses and a fixed price ranging from $25-$55. You can try anything from popular steak houses to local international fusion spots.

Boulder International Film Festival (All weekend)

Another 20th anniversary is taking place in Boulder. Watch some of the most talented filmmakers, directors, producers and actors at work with just about any film genre you can think of. The weekend is filled with movie watching but there will also be events featuring nationally renowned chefs, filmmaker talkbacks, parties, musicians and more at the festival.

Leadville Ski Joring and Crystal Carnival (All weekend)

The small town of Leadville is gearing up for a big weekend filled with skijoring, mountain biking, Nordic ski races, paintball biathlon and other winter activities. While the festival is a bit outside of Denver, it’s definitely worth the drive.

The Wizard of Oz in Concert (Saturday)

Watch the classic “The Wizard of Oz” with a new twist. The Colorado Symphony is performing the background music to the film, which will be playing and performed in Boettcher Concert Hall. Watch as Dorothy and her dog, Toto, fall into the land of Oz with live music.

Nicki Minaj (Sunday)

Minaj is performing at Ball Arena on Sunday on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour.” Tickets are still available starting at just under $100. You might recognize one of her most famous songs, “Super Bass,” which hit over 1 billion YouTube views. Her more recent songs include “Barbie World” and “Super Freaky Girl.”

Denver Pool Plunge and 5K (Sunday)

If running 3 miles on a Sunday wasn’t enough, there’s also a polar plunge at Washington Park. Luckily, this weekend will be in the 50s and 60s so it won’t be as much “polar” as it is a plunge. You could run, plunge or both, all in support of Special Olympics Colorado athletes.

If 60 degrees is still too cold, Colorado has some of the best hot springs in the nation you could also test out this weekend.
