DENVER (KDVR) — Mainly sunny skies will be across Colorado Wednesday, helping to bring in some of the hottest temperatures of the year in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather tonight: Clear skies

Denver will continue to see clear skies on Wednesday night as the winds slow a bit. Overnight lows are above average in the middle 50s.

Looking ahead: Storms return, slight cool down

Thursday keeps the mainly sunny skies around. It will be hot with highs in the upper 80s.

Friday could be another 90-degree day with early sunshine and a few clouds in the afternoon. Friday also brings some spotty storm chances in the early afternoon and evening hours.

Saturday has better chances for storms in the second half of the day after highs hit the lower 80s. Clouds linger on Sunday with highs in the upper 70s and better chances for showers and storms throughout the day.

Monday keeps highs in the low 80s with partly cloudy skies and the chance for a quick afternoon storm. Tuesday also has highs near 80 degrees with more sunshine and a small chance for an afternoon storm.
