Downtown Denver roads will close this weekend for PrideFest

DENVER (KDVR) — Thousands of people will gather at Civic Center this weekend for Denver’s annual PrideFest.

The festival is happening on Saturday and Sunday. Some road closures are already in place Friday morning, and Denverites can expect more through the weekend.

Starting Friday at 7 a.m., Bannock Street is closed from Colfax Avenue to 13th Avenue, and 14th Avenue is closed from Cherokee Street to Broadway, according to a PrideFest press release.

Colfax Avenue will be closed starting at 6 p.m. Friday between Cherokee Street and Lincoln Street.

Broadway will also be closed from the 16th Street Mall to 13th Avenue beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.

Each of the above road closures will be lifted Sunday at 11:59 p.m., according to the release.

For the parade on Sunday, Colfax Avenue will be closed from Franklin Street to Lincoln Street starting at 9 a.m., and the road will reopen once the parade is over.
