Jerissa Ingram gave a shout out to Huckleberry’s Thursday on the Quad City Food Lovers Facebook page.

“They could really use the support with all of the construction in downtown Rock Island right now. We went last night and were unaware just how much the construction is preventing business until we saw it for ourselves, and we were the only customers there,” she wrote. “We have always enjoyed the food and service and last night was no different. The owner came to our table and we talked about the struggles they’ve been facing. He doesn’t want to cut employee’s hours, but they are definitely taking a hit right now.”

Downtown stakeholders are also encouraged to park in the public lots highlighted on the map below, including the newly city-leased lot at 101 17th Street. This parking lot will be available for public use through the end of the year.
