UPDATE: Authorities recover the body and ID man who fell overboard while on fishing trip

UPDATE 10:18 p.m.: The Eufaula Police have located the body of the man who fell overboard near the Cheneyhatchee Bridge.

Police say 65-year-old Will Newman from Dothan, Alabama, drowned after falling near the bridge while on a fishing trip. His body was recovered from Lake Eufaula.

As of now, the ALEA Marine Division has taken over the drowning case.

EUFAULA, Ala. (WRBL) – The Eufaula Police and Fire Departments are currently searching for a man who fell overboard near the Cheneyhatchee Bridge.

Eufaula Police says the Houston County dive term has been alerted about the incident.
