Fire damages home in Luzerne County

WILKES BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A fire damaged a home Saturday morning in Luzerne County.

First responders say they were called to the fire at 6:43 a.m. on the 20th block of Frederick Street in Wilkes Barre.

Home considered ‘total loss’ after Lackawanna County fire

According to Wilkes Barre Fire Chief Jay Delaney, there was no one home at the time of the fire, and no one injured.

The home is not a total loss, but there was fire and water damage to the first and second floors, according to Delaney.

Officials say it is not known how many people were occupying the house.

Wilkes Barre City Fire is investigating the cause of the fire.
