Flip or Flop Atlanta Premieres Tonight on HGTV

One of our favorite HGTV shows is going southern!

Fire up those television sets, because Flip or Flop Atlanta kicks off tonight on HGTV! The show, which is one of five spinoffs from Tarek and Christina El Moussa’s long-running home renovation show, and the first one to take place in the South.

“The success of HGTV’s original Flip or Flop and Flip or Flop Vegas set the stage for Flip or Flop Atlanta,” John Feld, senior vice president of programming for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country, said in a statement. “Now we will get an inside look at the profitable real estate opportunities in this booming Southeast market.”

The first of Flip or Flop Atlanta’s 13 episodes, premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and follows reno experts Ken and Anita Corsini as they update old Southern houses into modern homes that retain their original charm.

“Atlanta has some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the country,” Anita said in a statement. “We take pride in making it a little more beautiful with each house we flip.”

Wondering what’s in store for the big debut? According to a statement from HGTV, in the premiere episode, Ken and Anita take on a bargain-priced split-level home in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. The home has endless potential, but first the couple must reimagine the dated layout, unsightly 1970s exterior and rickety deck to attract potential buyers.
