Florence County man, woman face several drug, gun-related charges after search
FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Florence County man and woman are facing several charges after deputies conducted a search last week and found guns, money and drugs.
Stephen Lavance Brown was charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in cocaine base (crack), possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substances, unlawful possession of a sawed-off rifle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Brown’s co-defendant, Thomesina Nicole McFadden, was also charged with multiple counts of possession of illegal narcotics and weapons possession. They were both booked into the Florence County Detention Center.
Deputies conducted a search warrant at a home on Thursday in the 6400 block of Pamplico Highway, the sheriff’s office said. Between Oct. 1 and Oct. 7, Brown allegedly distributed a “quantity” of cocaine to a confidential informant. Brown and McFadden were found at the home during the search.
