Florence police arrest suspect after man wounded in early morning shooting

FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — Florence police arrested a man early Tuesday after he allegedly shot another man during an argument in the 100 block of E. Vista Street.

Brian P. Timmons was taken into custody after officers responded to the shooting at about 2:50 a.m. and found the man near the roadway, police said. Officers applied tourniquets to the man, who was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said Timmons shot “multiple times at the victim” during an argument and then fled before officers arrived. He was found later at a motel on Lucas Street and arrested without incident.
