Foley woman accused of stabbing boyfriend with kitchen knife: Police

FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Baldwin County woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend with a knife has been arrested, according to the Foley Police Department.

FPD officers arrested 43-year-old Shau Yanite Pickens of Foley on Wednesday, June 19, after responding to an 11 p.m. stabbing in the 21000 block of U.S. Highway 98.

Pickens is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the abdomen with a kitchen knife, according to an FPD news release.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening stab wound, and Pickens was charged with second-degree domestic violence and taken to the Foley City Jail, the release said.

Police say the case, including any elements of self-defense, is still under investigation.
