Heat, humidity continue: Here’s how long

(WJW) – The heat and humidity continue with the potential for more gusty storms.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for all of Northeast Ohio until 8 p.m. Saturday.

Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s near the lakeshore and lower to mid-90s away from the lake Friday afternoon.
A front will stall out across northern Ohio on Friday, and trigger a handful of downpours and storms Friday afternoon/evening. With all the heat and humidity in the air, any storms that develop could produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.

June’s full moon, which is called the strawberry moon, will peak Friday night.
Believe it or not, it is only going to get hotter before it gets cooler. Temperatures will climb into the mid-90s Saturday afternoon, with heat index values above 100 degrees.
A cold front will move through on Sunday and bring an end to heat and oppressive humidity levels.
Much cooler and drier air will follow the front, so the humidity will drop Sunday night into Monday.
The front will also trigger scattered downpours and storms Sunday afternoon. A strong storm or two cannot be ruled out on Sunday.
