Friday Outlook: Heat steadily increases through weekend in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Good morning and happy Friday! As we close in on the weekend we are expecting more sunshine and toasty temperatures on the way for the region.

Following more seasonal temperatures on Thursday, we are expecting temperatures to start heating up Friday and continue through the weekend and into next week. In the tropics, Alberto is moving inland into Mexico this morning and we are keeping our eye on a tropical disturbance in the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean.

The heatwave will begin for the region with highs moving up into the low to mid-90s with more sunshine for the Carolinas. This weekend will see even hotter and more humid conditions with highs in the mid to upper 90s with ‘feels-like’ temperatures around the 100-degree mark. Besides an isolated shower or storm on Sunday and Monday the toasty temperatures but be augmented by any shower chances.
