Gino D'Acampo has joked that he was outraged after his TV pal and fellow celeb chef Gordon Ramsay made a full English breakfast pizza.

Ramsay whipped up the unusual pizza — which included egg, bacon and black pudding — in a video on his YouTube channel, disgusting many viewers. Italian cook D'Acampo was among those who were miffed about Ramsay's choice of toppings and said he's now set out to show people how to make "a proper pizza".

Appearing on This Morning on Wednesday, 29 May, he said it was "outrageous" and "out of order" as he quipped that he'd been sent on the ITV show by Italy's prime minister after she caught wind of Ramsay's pizza.

The chef — who appeared with Ramsay and Fred Sirieix in the series Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip — held up a newspaper cutting about Ramsay's pizza as he appeared on the show to tease his cooking masterclass.

"The only reason why I am here is because my prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, sent me here after she saw this," he told hosts Dermot O'Leary and Josie Gibson. "What is with this Ramsay pizza with baked beans?"

He went on: "So my prime minister sent me here to show you how to make a proper pizza, OK? Bearing in mind yes, you can put everything you want on a pizza, but there is limits!

"I mean, black pudding, baked beans... why would anyone put baked beans on a pizza? Smoked panchetta is OK, I can get it, mushrooms is ok... seaweed?!"

"This is outrageous, this is out of order," he added.

The star then jokingly walked out of the studio, muttering something about calling Ramsay ahead of his cooking demo.

Ramsay made his pizza on a trip to Wales, starting with a base made from a marinara sauce and other ingredients including baked beans, vodka and seaweed.

He then added toppings like black pudding, pancetta and the yolk of an egg.

During his chat on This Morning, D'Acampo also explained his new look. The star is usually clean shaven but is currently sporting a moustache.

His new facial hair was brought up by presenters Gibson and O'Leary and D'Acampo then popped his head back through the studio door to spill the beans. "Let me explain to everybody," he said. "I am working on a movie at the moment, it's a movie based on the 70s."

Gibson teased that it might be Super Mario, but the chef replied: "No it's not Super Mario. It's a serious American movie, big director and unfortunately my part requires me from time to time to look like this. Slick hair and a moustache, I'm really sorry."
