AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin ISD provided an update Thursday on the district’s rank GPA calculations after discovering discrepancies.

“We are happy to report that we have completed the software updates required to resolve the inconsistencies and have verified that the software is now working as intended,” the district said.

Rank GPA is a cumulative weighted GPA based on core classes only and is used for internal Austin ISD purposes, according to Austin ISD.

For rising seniors, rank GPA calculations are available now. Rising juniors will have to wait until July 10, while rising sophomores will have to wait until July 17 to access their rank GPA.

The district said a student’s rank GPA was only available through the campus registrar; however, weighted GPAs are available in Navience.

“We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and providing the best possible support for our students. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your campus registrar,” Austin ISD said.
