Man shot, killed in south Charlotte, CMPD says

A man was shot and killed in south Charlotte on Monday night, police said.

Just before 11:30 p.m., the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said officers were out on Kingsford Drive for the case. It’s located near the intersection of Arrowood and Nations Ford roads.

Police said 54-year-old Claudiano Alfonso Contreras Espinosa was shot just before 11 p.m. and died at the scene.

Police haven’t said if they’re looking for a suspect.
