Ice cream truck drives into AMC Georgetown movie theater

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Fire and EMS said an ice cream truck ran into the AMC movie theater in Georgetown on Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded to the theater just before 2 p.m. in the area of Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street. Firefighters requested a cave-in task force to evaluate the structure of the building.

In an update, DC Fire and EMS said there were no structural issues and no injuries. They worked to secure the ice cream truck’s propane tank.
