Indian team for England Test series announced

Chennai, July 2(ANI): The Indian cricket team for the upcoming Test series against England was announced here on Saturday. The announcement came after the All-India Senior Selection Committee met at the Sheraton Park Hotel and Towers. Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir and S. Sreesanth, who were rested for the tour of West Indies, will make a comeback. Virender Sehwag, who is recuperating from a shoulder surgery, will miss the first Test, while Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel, Murali Vijay and Abhimanyu Mithun have been dropped. Abhinav Mukund has been retained in the 17-man team. The four-match Test series will start at Lord's on July 21.efore the first Test, India will play a three-day warm-up game against county side Somerset from July 15 at Taunton. India will also play a five-match ODI series and one-off Twenty20 match against England during the tour. The squads for the ODI series and the Twenty20 match will be announced later.
