Interactive 3D map shows Eaton Fire perimeter, evacuation areas
LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – The California Department of Forestry & Fire Prevention (CalFire) is offering the public a three-dimensional map of the Eaton Fire in the San Gabriel Valley, east of Los Angeles.
As of Friday morning, the fire had scorched nearly 14,000 acres and damaged or destroyed thousands of structures in Altadena and Pasadena with limited containment, authorities said.
The 3D map shows the active Eaton Fire perimeter and the areas under mandatory evacuation orders and warnings.
Users can also pan and zoom the map to see the location of the fire in relation to other areas of metropolitan Los Angeles.
