Join us for The Modesto Bee Digital Subscriber Forum: Meet reporters and ask questions

We have recently introduced several changes that will impact our readers. We launched a new digital product called Edition, reintroduced commenting in our online stories and, next month, are transitioning to three days of printed newspapers.

To help you navigate these changes, we invite you, our subscribers, to a meet-and-greet event Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We want to answer your questions about The Modesto Bee, help you learn about your subscription’s digital benefits and introduce you to some of our journalists.

I’ll also be available to talk with you, and we’ll have a customer service specialist on hand for account questions.

I’ll be joined by local news editor Jeff “Deke” Farrow, multimedia journalist Andy Alfaro and reporters Kevin Valine, Dominique Williams and John Holland.

We want to help you fully enjoy your digital subscription at Modbee.com, which offers you and your family the most up-to-date, essential news and information from the region. This is the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic that we’ve held an event like this for our readers. This will be the first in a series of community events planned throughout the year. It’s a great opportunity for us to hear what matters to you and for you to meet some of our terrific staff members.

The forum begins at 11 a.m. Saturday in the auditorium of the Stanislaus County Library, 1500 I St. in downtown Modesto. There will be a presentation and Q&A session with the audience. You’re welcome to chat with us one-on-one or in small groups.

I hope this event will help our readers understand why we’re increasing our focus on digital news and how you can take advantage of the products we offer — while also allowing us to meet some of our valued subscribers. Please bring your story ideas, too!

The event is free, but we ask that you RSVP to help with planning. You can RSVP at modbee.com/event. We will have refreshments for attendees.
