UPDATE: Police identify shooting victim found in overgrown brush in KC

**UPDATE: KCPD has identified the victim as 48-year-old Larry D. Boyd.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Homicide detectives are looking for clues after a man was found shot and killed on Friday afternoon at 84th and Wabash.

Kansas City police say officers were called at 1 p.m., to a scene south of Malborough Park and directed to a space where there was overgrown brush. Investigators say officers found an adult male who was unresponsive and declared dead at the scene with a gunshot wound.

KCPD doesn’t have a suspect or suspect description, and the victim hasn’t been identified.
