Kansas Food Bank’s Filling the Gap to provide food for students in need over spring break

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Food Bank is hosting Filling the Gap to provide food for students in need over spring break.

“While it may be exciting for many families, vacation from school can be a difficult time for a child who depends on school breakfast and lunch. That’s where Filling the Gap comes in!” said the Kansas Food Bank

Filling the Gap will provide kids with a box of five days of breakfasts and lunches.

Wichita school board to decide on 6 closures

The distribution will be from 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 11, at five different pick-up locations across the Wichita area.

  1. Colvin Neighborhood Resource Center – 2820 S. Roosevelt St. (South/southeast area)

  2. Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center – Parking lot of 2700 N. Woodland (North/northwest Wichita area)

  3. HealthCore Clinic – 2707 E. 21st St. N. (North/northeast Wichita area)

  4. Oaklawn Activity Center – 4904 S. Clifton Ave. (Oaklawn area)

  5. Haysville United Methodist Church – 601 E. Grand Ave. (Haysville area)

No registration is required. Children must be present to pick up. Any kids are welcome.
