KU Jayhawks, K-State Wildcats rejoin AP Top 25 football rankings; Mizzou climbs in poll

After upsetting Oklahoma on Saturday, the Kansas Jayhawks are back in the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll. So, too, are the K-State Wildcats, who shut out Houston.

The Jayhawks (6-2, 3-2 Big 12) are ranked No. 22 in the season’s 10th installment of the weekly AP poll, released Sunday. KU defeated Oklahoma 38-33, dropping the Sooners from No. 6 to No. 10.

K-State (6-2, 4-1 Big 12), which blanked the UH Cougars 41-0 on Saturday, are ranked No. 25.

Missouri (7-1, 3-1 SEC), which had an off-week ahead of a huge game this coming weekend at No. 1 Georgia, rose two spots to No. 14.

The top of the newly released poll looks like this: defending champion UGA is No. 1, followed by No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Florida State, No. 5 Washington, No. 6 Oregon, No. 7 Texas, No. 8. Alabama, No. 9 Penn State and No. 10 Oklahoma.

Both Kansas teams will be on the road next weekend: K-State plays Texas in Austin, while KU plays Iowa State in Ames, Iowa.
