Lewiston woman, 98, escapes serious injury after being struck by Jeep

Jun. 21—AUBURN — A 98-year-old Lewiston woman suffered minor injuries when she was struck by a vehicle Friday morning in front of Walmart.

Adrienne Desrocheres was leaving Walmart with her daughter when a 2012 Jeep driven by Michael Burch, 60, of Lewiston drove through the common crossing area in front of the store entrance, Auburn Police Sgt. Matt Dailey said.

Burch was making a left turn in the parking area and had a blind spot as he turned, Dailey said. The left side of his vehicle struck Desrocheres.

Desrocheres suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, Dailey said. The daughter was not injured.

No charges are expected to be filed.
