Local nonprofit provides home renovation for Army Veteran

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The local nonprofit organization, Rebuilding Together Colorado, is teaming up with a community partner to renovate the home of Christopher Brown, an Army Veteran. The home renovation will happen on Friday, June 21.

Brown’s wife, Sara, uses a walker and wheelchair. Their home needs renovations to make it safer and more comfortable for her. Rebuilding Together volunteers will remove carpets in two rooms and install luxury vinyl plank flooring. They will also replace fence rails and pickets and replace missing siding on the home’s exterior. The renovation will give Sara more time with her family, plus a sense of safety and a feeling of independence.
