Lockport’s inaugural Juneteenth celebration to be held this weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The City of Lockport has announced a parade and celebration in honor of Juneteenth taking place this Saturday, the first of its kind in the city.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the corner of Canal St. and Church St. and will be followed by a celebration at Outwater Memorial Park.

The celebration will include a flag-raising ceremony in honor of the holiday.
