Lollapalooza, Sueños Music Festival job fair to be held this weekend

CHICAGO — The organizers behind Lollapalooza and Sueños festivals will host a career event this weekend for anyone interested in the festival industry.

Participates can attend workshops, hear from industry professionals, and meet with a variety of festival vendors. Workshops and panels will focus on event production, career readiness and specific career pathways, from local radio to live music experience, and celebrity styling and fashion.

Vendors, including talent booking and management agencies, hospitality and catering services, local arts and culture organizations, trade unions and more, will have booths where attendees can learn about the specific fields and discover employment opportunities for the upcoming festivals.

Sueños Music Festival will be held on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26. Tickets are sold out. Lollapalooza will be held from Thursday, Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 4. Tickets and the lineup have yet to be released. Both events will be held at Grant Park in Chicago.

The upcoming career fair will be held at the U-Building at the Kennedy King College on the 700 block of 63rd Street from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.
