Mail and early voting for Collier County 2024 primary election: Here's what you need to know

When is the primary election in Florida?
The primary election is set for August 20, 2024.
Winners of the primary election will move on to the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 5, if they face a challenger.
How can I vote early in Collier County?
You can either vote by mail, vote early in-person from Aug. 10 to Aug. 17, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or vote in person on election day.
If you are voting in-person on election day, voters need to be in line by 7 p.m. at their designated precinct. To find your precinct, visit colliervotes.gov.
How can I vote by mail in Collier County?
Voters must personally vote the ballot (unless assistance is required due to blindness, disability, or inability to read or write).
Completely fill in the ovals corresponding to the candidate and/or referendums of choice.
Place the completed ballot in the enclosed secrecy sleeve (also known as a secrecy "envelope").
Place your ballot and the secrecy sleeve in the return envelope provided. (Please note: failure to include the secrecy sleeve DOES NOT invalidate the ballot.)
DO NOT place anyone else's ballot besides your own in the ballot return envelope. Doing so may result in the ballots not being counted.
In order for the Vote-by-Mail ballot to be counted, the voter must sign or apply their legal mark in the box below the voter certificate on the return envelope.
The signature must reasonably match the signature of registration.
A signature as Power of Attorney will not be accepted. The ballot will not be counted.
The Vote-by-Mail ballot may be returned by mail, express mail, at any secure ballot intake station during early voting or in person to the Supervisor of Elections office.
Voted ballots cannot be accepted at a polling place on Election Day.
Affix appropriate postage for Vote-by-Mail ballots returned via mail (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.).
Vote-by-Mail ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections office at 3750 Enterprise Avenue, Naples FL 34104 by 7 p.m. on Election Day; or by 6 p.m. at one of our satellite offices located at: the North Collier Government Service Center: 2335 Orange Blossom Dr, Naples FL 34109 or Heritage Bay Government Services Center: 15450 Collier Blvd, Naples FL 34120
Voted ballots can also be dropped off at a Secure Ballot Intake Station which is located at each early voting location during the early voting period.

To request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, the voter must provide the following information:

Legal residence address

Do I need to bring anything to early voting in Collier County?
An approved photo ID that is not expired and has your signature.

Who can I vote for in Collier County?
Florida is a closed primary election state. In primary elections, registered voters can only vote for their registered party’s candidates in a partisan race on the ballot. Additionally, in a primary election, all registered voters, regardless of party affiliation, can vote on any issue, nonpartisan race that may appear on their ballot.
Universal Primary: A universal primary is a contest in the Primary Election in which all candidates have the same party affiliation, but will not see opposition during the General Election. During a universal primary, all qualified electors may vote regardless of their party affiliation.
