Man arrested in connection to armed robbery of US postal employees, taken to Russell County jail

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A wanted man was taken into custody on Wednesday in connection to the armed robbery of US postal employees, according to the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

Demetrice Sampson was arrested by the United States Postal Inspectors and MCSO. Sampson is charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

ARRESTED: MCSO apprehends three wanted gang members on numerous warrants

Sampson was taken to Russell County Jail. He is waiting to be extradited to Muscogee County.
