Man to serve nine years in prison for black-market marijuana scheme

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — An Oklahoma City man was sentenced in federal prison on Thursday for his role in a black-market marijuana scheme involving a fake Amazon delivery truck.

Investigators say that from June 2022 to March 2023, Brandon Ye, 43, managed to move trash bags full of marijuana from growers to a stash house using a fake Amazon van.

While searching the house on NW 58th St., investigators found more than 60 pounds of marijuana packaged in vacuum-sealed bags and stored in black trash bags.

According to U.S. Attorney Robert Troester, Ye moved a total of 28 tons of marijuana out of the state.

Ye pleaded guilty in September 2023, admitting to possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession a firearm while distributing marijuana illegally. He will now face nine years in federal prison.
