Head-on crash on Bridge Road kills at least one person in Hobe Sound

MARTIN COUNTY — A head-on crash killed at least one person in Hobe Sound Tuesday, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.

The cars crashed on Southeast Bridge Road, closing off part of the road, according to a Twitter post by sheriff's officials.

Christine Christofek, a sheriff's spokesperson, said three vehicles were in the crash.

Deputies were rerouting traffic to Southeast 138th Street and Powerline Avenue, officials said at 1:40 p.m.

No other information was available Tuesday.
