These MetroWest communities have fireworks events planned ahead of the Fourth of July

Did you know that Sudbury's postal code is 01776?

Fittingly enough, the town has a long tradition of celebrating Independence Day. Dating back to 1939, the Sudbury Fourth of July Parade returns this year with the theme "Red, White and You — A Tribute to Sudbury."

According to the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, anyone can participate in the parade — walkers, bicyclists, float makers, musicians. Its route runs from Union Avenue (at Chiswick Park) to Route 20 East to Concord Road north to the town center.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. and usually lasts up to two hours, depending on the number of participants.
