Will the Mobile Library visit your neighborhood this summer?

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Mobile Library will be making stops around Grand Rapids this summer.

It’s an initiative from the Grand Rapids Public Library. By visiting the Mobile Library, you can check out books, sign up for a library card, use free Wi-Fi and more.

“We know that not all community members are able to visit a library location or access our
digital services due to transportation or digital barriers,” said Katie Zychowski, marketing and
communications director, in a statement. “We are committed to ensuring that all members of our city have access to our materials and services, and Mobile Library route visits are integral to that work.”

On Monday, GRPL announced the Mobile Library’s schedule for summer 2024:

  • Creston Plaza Apartments at 1080 Creston Plaza NE: Mondays June 10 & 24, July 8 & 22 and Aug. 5 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Campau Commons Apartments at 821 Division Ave. S: Tuesdays June 11 & 25, July 9 & 23 and Aug. 6 from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Hope Community at 1024 Ionia Ave. SW: Tuesdays June 11 & 25, July 9 & 23 and Aug. 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

  • Boston Square at 1551 Kalamazoo Ave. SE: Wednesdays June 12 & 26, July 10 & 24 and Aug. 7 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Harrison Park Apartments at 1400 Alpine Ave. NW: Mondays June 17, July 1, 15, & 29 and Aug. 12 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Walnut Grove Apartments at 875 Sheffield St. SW: Tuesdays June 18, July 2, 16 & 30 and Aug. 13 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Early Learning Center at 641 Vries St. SW: Tuesdays June 18, July 2, 16 & 30 and Aug. 13 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Eastern Lofts Apartments at 623 Eastern Ave. SE: Wednesdays June 19, July 3, 17 & 31 and Aug. 14 from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Steepleview Apartments at 501 Eastern Ave. SE: Wednesdays June 19, July 3, 17 & 31 and Aug. 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
