MoCo Minute | Raptor Ready Scholarship at Montgomery College

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery College is offering some financial help to elighible high school students who live in Montgomery County through the college’s Raptor Ready Scholarship Program.

The college said students who graduated from high school in spring of 2024 could qualifty to receive a $1,000 scholarship that would be applied to fall 2024 tuition and fees.

Those high school graduates have to register for and take at least six credit hours at the college in the fall. Students also have the ability to put the scholarship towards the tuition and fee cost of select Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs:

  • Clinical Medical Assistant

  • Certified Nursing Assistant

  • Early Childhood Education

Montgomery College said in the span of two years, the Raptor Ready Scholarship Program assisted 1,700 students.
