Moline joins National Clean Energy cohort

The City of Moline will be participating in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Energy to Communities peer learning cohorts, according to a press release. This will support the Shine On Moline Agrivoltaics Farm development project.

Moline will partner with Prairie Rivers Network and 14 other groups across the country through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and World Resources Institute. The program will take place over six months, with the July cohort covering agrivoltaics implementation.

According to the press release, participation in this program will enable Moline to gain critical insights into the latest agrivoltaics technologies and best practices. Through collaboration, they hope to refine project plans, secure necessary funding and ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of the Shine On Moline Agrivoltaics Farm.
