Motorcyclist dies in Warren County crash on I-70

WARREN COUNTY, Mo. – A motorcyclist died from injuries he suffered in a crash Tuesday evening along Interstate 70, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

MSHP has identified the victim as Kyler Jay, 26, of Alberta, Canada. Next of kin have been notified.

The crash happened at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of I-70 near milemarker 202.

According to an MSHP crash report, Jay attempted to lane-split between one SUV and a tractor trailer on I-70. He struck one side of the SUV. Authorities pronounced Jay deceased at the scene of the crash.

MSHP Troop C, which covers much of the St. Louis region, is investigating the crash.
