Muscogee Co. Sheriff’s Office arrest two fugitives on gun, drug and other charges

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) took two wanted men into custody.

MCSO says Traquarius Johnson was arrested on Thursday. Johnson had been wanted since 2019. He faces these charges:

  • Aggravated assault

  • Violation of probation for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

  • Terroristic threats

  • Second degree criminal damage to property

  • Obstruction of a 911 call

  • Three counts of theft by taking

  • Two counts of battery

After Johnson was arrested, MCSO says further investigation revealed illegal narcotics. He was also charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of schedule II (hydrocodone with intent to distribute), and possession of drug related objects.

A separate arrest was made on Friday. Altrazo Nickerson was initially charged with two counts of sale of cocaine. After more investigation, he was also charged with the following:

  • Trafficking cocaine

  • Two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

  • Two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

MCSO says 43.7 grams of cocaine worth $4,370, 278 grams of marijuana worth $2,780 and $6,739.99 of U.S. currency were seized.

Both men were taken to Muscogee County Jail.
